BLTA – Bacon, Lettuce, Tuna & Avocado

Here’s a protein-packed sandwich inspired by the traditional bacon, lettuce & tomato. A blend of tunifish & avocado make this the perfect high proTein meal!

Ingredients for two sandwiches 

  • 1 can Tuna
  • 1 small avocado 
  • 1/4 Lime
  • Ground pepper to taste
  • 3-4 Thin slices of red onion
  • Handful of lettuce 
  • 4-5 pickle slices per sandwich 
  • 4 Slices of cooked bacon 
  • Toasted bread or buns (or make a wrap!)

Place the tuna & avocado fruit in a bowl & mash it with a fork. Add lime juice & pepper. Blend together until smooth.

Toast the bread. Lay it out on a cutting board to assemble the sandwich. 

Spread the tuna-avocado mixture on the toast, dividing evenly between the two sandwiches.

Next add the lettuce, pickles, onions & bacon. Cut in half & enjoy!

To make appetizer or snack sized use Party bread & crumble the bacon!
